The SEV Congress will start on June 9th, 2019, with an opening lecture by one of the co-founders of GVN, Dr. Robert Gallo, most notable for his discovery of the first human retrovirus, HTLV-1, and co-discovery of HIV as the cause of AIDS and development of the HIV blood test. The regular structure of the congress will be organized with several parallel sessions (from June 10th to 12th, 2019), including topics as relevant as immunology and vaccines, anti-virals, virus-host interaction, diagnostic virology and epidemiology, morphogenesis and structural biology, emerging and re-emerging viruses, viruses as biotechnological tools and trending topics in virology.
In parallel, but open to all delegates, GVN will organize its 11th International Meeting June 10th and 11th, 2019, with a very attractive program oriented to significant viruses affecting mankind.
None of the above will be feasible without the contribution of speakers, delegates and chairpersons as well as supporters and funding partners. Our deep gratitude to all of them; they will be the core of the SEV-GVN 2019! Moreover, our deep appreciation to Scientific Committee members of the SEV-GVN partnership, since they represent the soul and the spirit of the Congress.
